I’m ordering some more club t-shirts (£15 approx. each) in the next couple of days, let me know if you want me to order you one. It’s too late to wear them on a Thursday as the weather has changed and we should all be wearing doboks now, but acceptable for use at the Monday sparring class. Just let me know your size and quantity. See MoreSee Less

We had a great start to the Monday sessions, including pad work, sparring (with a little bit of grappling) and knife defense. If you missed out there’s always next week, Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less

I’m restarting the Monday class begining on the 18th. It will be a class focused on sparring, drill exercises and pad work. Including applying forms to sparring and grappling. The Thursday class will still be the mandatory class for covering the curriculum and for belt progression. Monday’s will be considered as a supplement only and not a replacement for the Thursday class. I will run it as a trial for a month to see if we get enought take up to keep it running. If you want to take part, now’s the time to invest in some sparring pads and a gum sheild. Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less

We had a very small turnout tonight so we took the opportunity to practice all the throws and take downs in basic form one. It turned out to be a fun lesson. Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less

We’re nearly back to training as we did before the pandemic.Much as we had posted earlier this week, Sport England’s guidance now confirms that from July 19th all current Coronavirus restrictions in place that effect martial arts will be lifted in-line with the wider re-opening of society for clubs in England. This gives the green-light to full contact training and grappling, indoors, without capacity limits or restrictions on groups (such as children or adults only as was previously the case).Clubs in Scotland will move into level 0. This will enable the reduction of distancing from 2m to 1 m in all indoor settings and 0m outdoors. Further restrictions should ease in August.Clubs in Wales will move to alert level 1 with a provisional date of 7th August for most other restrictions easing. Clubs in Northern Ireland should expect further restrictions to (provisionally) ease on 26th July pending further confirmation. Whilst this will be welcome news by the entire martial arts community, please do bear in mind that COVID is still very much present so clubs have a duty of care to mitigate risks and keep student safe as best possible. We will be releasing an *advisory only* risk management policy for clubs to benchmark against on Monday 19th, with a view to helping as many dojos as possible to safely ease back into full contact training (as appropriate). We will also provide further details surrounding the easing of measures in the devolved nations in the coming weeks. All of our clubs have done an amazing job over the past 18 months, so our heart-felt pat on the back to every instructor, assistant and student that has worked hard to follow the rules during the most desperate of times. The break in regulation now allows clubs to make an informed decision on how best to manage risk at club-level. It shouldn’t be seen as carte-blanche to act recklessly. We must take this seriously and remain professional, whilst enjoying martial arts as we know and love it, so we can do our bit to remain free of the dreaded DCMS Combat Sport Framework restrictions!Updates to follow! When I looked around the class tonight it was clear to me that although the class was by no means large it was full of quality. I would choose quality over quantity every time. Keep up the good work, Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less

Even though we are restricted as to the parts of the curriculum we can practice due to the restrictions, it was still a good lesson this evening. Well done and thank you to all that attended, Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less

Unfortunately I’m going to have to cancel tonight’s class as I’m suffering extreme hayfever symptoms with asthma. We will be back to training as normal next week. From next week I’m changing the way I charge for lessons, I’ve recently had to turn potential members away only to have an empty hall when people don’t show. From now on going forward, I will need to charge for lessons in a 4 week block. The price will remain the same per lesson but I need the commitment from members as I only have 10 places per class while we are social distancing. Missed lessons will not be refunded if missed, I hope you understand. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Tang Soo! See MoreSee Less
